NIAMH PARKES

SINGING TEACHER

Niamh started singing and performing from the young age of 6 in her local Stage School where she trained for 9 years in singing, drama and dance. In addition, she studied voice from age 10 with the Leinster School of Music under the guidance of Ann Fetherston and trained with both Derval O’Sullivan and Colette McGahon as part of her undergraduate degree in Music Education in Trinity College and the DIT Conservatory of Music, from which she graduated in 2017.

Niamh is a fully qualified music teacher at secondary school level with a speciality in voice and is teaching in Dublin. Last year she musically directed the Irish Premier of Crush the Musical in Alexandra College. Niamh has won many singing competitions throughout the years including Kilcoole Music Festival, Arklow Music Festival, Feis Ceoil and DIT in-house competitions. She is a regular performer and soloist with several choirs and musical theatre groups, having played principal roles in musicals such as Les Miserables, Oklahoma, Little Shop of Horrors, and Fiddler on the Roof.
Niamh sings regularly with the DIT Chamber Choir, most recently winning Ireland’s Choir of the Year and placing 2 nd in the International Fleischmann competition in Cork International Choral festival 2018. As well as singing and performing Niamh also plays the piano and has certificates to grade 7.

Niamh is excited to be working with Intrepidus Stage School, as music, theatre and teaching are her
passions in life.

ALLIE DALY

Dance Teacher

Allie graduated in Dance and performing arts in sallynoggin college in 2015. Has been a lead dancer of the Olympia pantomime every year since 2010. Is a Champion Irish dancer. Was very greatful to have danced with the Abby Lee Dance Company in LA with the cast of dance mom’s. Dancer for four years alongside our very own Irish twins Jedward. Regular guest dancer on ‘The Late Late Show’, ‘The Late Late Toy Show’ ‘The Ray D’arcy Show’, ‘The Nathan Carter Show’, ‘RTE’s Big Music Week’ and more. Allie also preformed Irish Dancing for the president Michael D Higgins in the Bórd gais Theatre for RTE’s ‘The Centeenary’.

Allie has also been featured in music videos for artists such as The Coronas, Hometown, Lisa McHugh, Jake Carter, Nathan Carter, The Ennis Brothers, Axel, Aaron J, TommyG, Colour animal and more.

LISA MCGRATH

Dance Teacher

Lisa has been dancing since a very young age & trained with numerous schools over the years. She later went on to pursue her dance career & trained for 4 years in Inchicore College Of Further Education & is qualified with diplomas in Dance & Theatre Studies, National Certificate in Exercise & Fitness & F.D.I. Lisa is delighted to be workin alongside Olwyn & her team & looks forward to the future with Intrepedius.

JENNY O’DONOVAN

COSTUME AND SET DESIGN TEACHER

Jenny has been singing professionally for almost 15 years and is a graduate of Liberties College in Performance with training in Vocal Technique, Singing and Musical Theatre.

She started out singing in one of Ireland’s leading Gospel choirs, the Halleluia Gospel Choir, travelling the country, singing at countless events, weddings, ceremonies, corporate events, promotional campaigns and even singing with Westlife and Gary Barlow. Jenny’s singing career has broadened into solo performances for ceremonies and corporate events as well as fronting the popular wedding band, Soundcheque. Singing is Jenny’s passion but holds a Trinity Guildhall qualification in teaching speech and drama. Combining singing and acting is so important for performance and in building children’s confidence. Charity work is very important to Jenny and is a leader in a fantastic nationwide group called CanTeen which offers support, fun and lots of friends alike to young people who have or had cancer. Arts is also a huge part of Jenny’s career. She was arts and crafts teacher for three years as part of the Helix summer camps and was appointed to designed and construct the sets for the end of camp shows. Jenny has made a variety of puppets and costumes for different productions including the cow “Kim Cowdashian” featured in 2013/14 The Cheerios Panto, Jack and the Beanstalk.
